About the Director of Nursing
The Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, organizing, establishing, administering, and implementing a nursing program that will reflect the Philosophy of Care of BBHM and collaboration with all disciplines to provide the maximum physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual well-being of each neighbor that resides in our Assisted Living and Long-Term Care.
Qualifications
Current RN License in the State of Missouri or an affiliated Compact State or be able to get a Missouri RN License.
Good communication and public relations skills with neighbors, neighbor's families, contact persons, team members and the general public.
Able to exercise leadership and give supervision to the Team.
Familiar with DHSS and CMS Senior Services regulations.
Able to exercise good judgement in problem solving, remain objective and be impartial.
Typing, computer, documentation skills.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Nursing Department.
Working with the scheduling coordinator to delegate assignments and maintain a monthly schedule.
Work with the Medical Director, providers, pharmacies and other ancillary services to make sure the neighbors receive all the care that they need.
Be on call as needed and work with the Leadership Team in any emergencies to ensure the care of the neighbors and the continued operation of the community.
Work with other nursing team leaders to ensure that all Infection Prevention standards as required by DHSS and CMS are done and documented.
Participate in all staff meetings and other meetings as assigned.
Flexibility in job assignments and work with the Administrator to ensure that continuity of care takes place in emergencies and weather-related events.
Full Time Salaried Position + On Call Bonus
Monday to Friday, on call as needed
On call rotation with other nursing team leaders
