Position Summary
The Resident Caregiver (C.N.A.) is responsible for the daily medical assistance of our facility residents. Caregiver responsibilities include: assisting residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
The Caregiver (C.N.A.) plays a key role in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations and ensuring resident’s receive care and assistance in Activities of Daily Living.
Duties and Responsibilities

Must be 18 years of age (State Rules and Regulations)

Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with residents, staff members, families and the general public.

Must be a responsible individual with a good work ethic. Must be able to lift (up to 40 lbs) and assist residents without physical limitations or physical restraints such as back problems, neck or shoulder problems etc.

Certified Med Tech Caregivers must document medication dispensing on proper forms and eMar software programs.

Certified Med Tech will abide by all rules (both State and Facility) regarding Med Passing processes.

Caregiver must be able to perform duties and responsibilities with or without supervision. Responsibilities will include light housekeeping duties ie; vacuuming, dusting, mopping and cleansing etc.

Must consent to a background check.

Must be compassionate and have a desire to care for the elderly.

Must demonstrate the ability to care for the elderly while maintaining our resident’s dignity and privacy.

Must be punctual and able to work scheduled hours and be somewhat flexible.

Caregiver will respond promptly to all resident call signals in a courteous and timely manner.

Caregiver will follow all Universal Precautions and Body Substance isolation procedures at all times.

Caregiver will document resident care on proper facility forms and medical documentation software.
