STARTING HOURLY RATE: $18.59 - $19.44 (PLACEMENT DEPENDS ON SIMILAR EXPERIENCE HELD AND EDUCATION)
SUMMARY:
The Truck Driver/Base Kitchen delivers cooked meals from the Base Kitchen to receiving sites; maintains and services delivery trucks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
-
Drives prepackaged and prepared meals from the base kitchen to receiving sites.

Assists with serving breakfast and/or lunch at designated sites.

Maintains and cleans delivery trucks and other assigned vehicles; performs regular safety checks.

Cleans kitchen, service, and snack bar areas and fryer machine.

Picks up produce and other stock at warehouse.

Supports the relationship between the Phoenix Union High School District and the public by demonstrating courteous and professional behavior when interacting with students, parents, visitors, and school staff; maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and school information; follows Governing Board Policies; performs all other related duties as required or assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines:
High School diploma or GED equivalent; AND six months of previous truck driving experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
License and Certification Requirements:
A valid Arizona State Driver's License is required.
Must possess a valid Maricopa County Food Handler's Card.
Possess an Active Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or obtain one within the first 90 workdays of employment.

Skill safely operating trucks and other vehicles.
