We are seeking a passionate and skilled License Massage & Bodywork Therapist to join our dynamic wellness team. Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and other modalities tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals
- Educate clients on massage benefits, post-treatment care, and self-care strategies to support ongoing wellness
- Maintain detailed treatment records in compliance with licensing regulations and clinic policies
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to sanitation standards and proper equipment maintenance
- Communicate effectively with clients about their comfort levels, treatment plans, and any contraindications or medical considerations
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education requirements such as CPR certification
Skills
- Strong patient service orientation with excellent client communication skills
- Proficiency in various massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments
- In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop personalized treatment plans
- Experience with pain management strategies and understanding of injury rehabilitation processes
- Knowledge of medical safety protocols including CPR certification and sanitation standards
- Previous experience working in med spas or wellness clinics is highly desirable
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that puts clients at ease
- Familiarity with occupational health principles and client confidentiality standards
