Safety Manager
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of workplace safety and regulatory compliance within a growing manufacturing operation in Northwest Ohio. This position will play a key role in promoting a culture of safety, reducing risk, and ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct routine facility audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Lead safety training initiatives, including new hire onboarding, emergency response, hazard communication, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with operational leaders to drive continuous improvement in safety performance and employee engagement.
- Maintain safety records, training documentation, regulatory reports, and compliance-related records.
- Monitor changes in regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and program effectiveness.
- Support environmental compliance initiatives and sustainability efforts as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience leading safety programs within a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement practical solutions.
- Professional safety certification (CSP, ASP, OHST, or similar) preferred.
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
