Technical work in the enforcement of construction projects for compliance with the County's construction codes, related regulations, and Building Division policies. Inspects various projects and construction plans for compliance with current mechanical codes. Work is performed within the framework provided by construction codes and Building Division policies and under the direct supervision of an administrative superior. Performance is evaluated through oral and written testing, re-examination of plans, and results obtained.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following:
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of four (4) years of experience in construction work as an Architect, Engineer, Contractor, Inspector, Electrician, Plumber, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, or Carpenter in the appropriate trade.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The selected candidate for this position:
Must obtain a Florida Provisional Inspector Certification in Mechanical within 120 days of hire AND a Florida Standard Inspector Certification in Mechanical within 11 months of hire.
