PI Litigation Paralegal

About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in New York personal injury litigation and be able to independently manage cases throughout the litigation process.
Only candidates with prior U.S. Personal Injury litigation experience will be considered.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of U.S. Personal Injury litigation experience as a Litigation Paralegal
- Consistent work history
- Bilingual in Spanish (Required)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to commute to our Queens, NY office (this is not a remote position)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Client-focused with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Notary Public preferred (Remote Online Notary is a plus)
Responsibilities
- Draft complaints for personal injury matters, including:
- Motor vehicle accidents
- Premises liability
- Animal attacks
- Product liability
- Medical and dental malpractice
- Assault, battery, and false arrest claims
- Prepare and draft legal motions, petitions, orders, appellate briefs, legal memoranda, and related litigation documents
- Draft Bills of Particulars, interrogatories, notices to admit, subpoenas, discovery demands, proposed orders, pretrial disclosures, stipulations, judgment enforcement documents, and replies to crossclaims
- Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial, including witness coordination, expert scheduling, trial exhibits, evidence, verdict sheets, and jury instructions
- Coordinate with court clerks, judges, and opposing counsel while ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines
- Manage cases throughout the litigation lifecycle, including client communication, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and case resolution
- Establish new bodily injury claims and process No-Fault applications
- Prepare settlement packages, loss wage claims, property damage claims, mileage reimbursements, and appointment scheduling
- Analyze medical records and maintain organized electronic and physical case files
- Draft legal correspondence and provide administrative support as needed
- Independently manage caseloads, litigation calendars, and deadlines
