Job Description: Purchasing Agent
Fawn River Cultivation Company is seeking a highly organized and detailoriented Purchasing Agent to join our Supply Chain team in Constantine, MI. This role oversees material planning, procurement, inventory control, receiving, distribution, and supplier management in a fastpaced, highvolume environment.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all inventory management, purchasing, receiving, and distribution processes.

Engage new suppliers and collect onboarding documentation; coordinate setup with sales, marketing, and accounting.

Support administrative supply chain functions including RFQs, material catalogs, receiving, and accounts receivable.

Resolve invoice holds and discrepancies (incorrect receiving, overbilling, insufficient funds, incorrect billing, etc.).

Schedule and procure materials to ensure availability for daily and weekly production needs.

Track, report, and escalate supplier performance issues; coordinate resolutions with internal stakeholders.

Reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and invoices; collaborate with planning, sourcing, quality, manufacturing, warehousing, and accounts payable.

Mitigate outofstock risks and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Maintain strong communication with suppliers and internal teams to ensure costeffective, ontime deliveries.

Develop and refine methods and policies that improve material flow, safety, and cost efficiency.

Plan and organize warehousing and material handling to optimize resources and reduce stockout risk.

Conduct routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.

Execute sourcing strategies aligned with corporate procurement objectives.

Participate in network inventory management including product lifecycle, turns, aging stock, redesign impacts, and obsolescence.

Identify and pursue benchmarking and costsaving opportunities.

Maintain inventory, product catalogs, and APIrelated functions within the seedtosale software system.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Controller.
Qualifications

Experience in a highly regulated industry preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
