Role Summary
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable software systems that power our AI-driven investment research platform. You will collaborate with engineers, machine learning specialists, product managers, and designers to build reliable infrastructure, modern web applications, and high-performance APIs that enable institutional investors to make data-driven decisions.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges, building production-quality software, and working across the full software development lifecycle in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable backend services and distributed systems supporting AI-powered financial research applications.
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices that enable secure, reliable, and high-performance communication across platform components.
- Develop responsive and intuitive frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks to deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Design and implement high-performance data processing pipelines capable of handling large-scale structured and unstructured financial datasets.
- Collaborate closely with Machine Learning Engineers to integrate AI models, LLM-powered services, and intelligent automation into production systems.
- Write clean, maintainable, secure, and well-tested code following software engineering best practices.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and system scalability planning.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and continuously improve system reliability and efficiency.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and deployment processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Research, and Engineering to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and engineering best practices to improve platform capabilities and developer productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 2+ years of professional software development experience building production applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with modern programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Go.
- Experience designing scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience developing web applications using modern frontend frameworks such as React or Next.js.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong analytical thinking, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps best practices.
- Experience building data-intensive applications or large-scale distributed systems.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, LLM applications, vector databases, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
- Experience with message queues, caching technologies, and event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of financial markets, investment research, or fintech applications is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum software development environments.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
