Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team at our restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle cash and operate a POS system effectively. A background in retail sales and experience with fast food restaurants are preferred.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
- Operate the POS system to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle credit, and debit transactions while maintaining accurate cash handling practices.
- Provide product demonstrations to enhance customer experience and promote sales.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is properly stocked and displayed.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during the checkout process.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
