HR Generalist (Contract)
Location: Sonora , CA

- Contract: 13-week assignment
- Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
- Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Job Summary
- Serve as a first-line advisor to leaders and employees on HR policies, performance management, employee relations, and workforce-related matters.
- Conduct initial assessments of employee relations concerns and lead low- to moderate-risk workplace investigations, escalating complex or high-risk issues as needed.
- Provide guidance on corrective actions and documentation in accordance with established policies and best practices.
- Analyze HR data and trends to identify opportunities for operational improvements and support informed decision-making.
- Support the execution of HR initiatives, including performance management, onboarding, employee engagement, and compliance training.
- Assist with workforce planning by providing historical data, trends, and policy-based recommendations.
- Collaborate on cross-functional HR projects with a focus on implementation, process consistency, and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 2–4 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, HR policies, employment law, and compliance practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
