Duties
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or remote assistance tools, ensuring quick resolution of hardware and software issues.
- Intstall and troubleshoot equipment problems including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals to restore optimal functionality.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues related to LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, and network hardware such as Meraki and Cisco devices.
- Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory and GPO (Group Policy Objects), ensuring secure access control across Windows and macOS environments.
- Support operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux, and Microsoft Windows Server by performing updates, configurations, and troubleshooting.
- Utilize ticket management systems to document incidents accurately, prioritize requests, and track resolution progress.
- Assist with IT infrastructure maintenance tasks such as deploying updates via SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and managing computer hardware components.
- Collaborate with team members on network administration tasks involving LAN setup, TCP/IP configurations, firewall rules, and analysis of network traffic for performance improvements.
- Support the deployment and management of mobile devices and ensure security protocols are followed for remote access solutions like VPNs.
- Communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical users while maintaining a positive attitude that fosters excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in technical support or IT support roles with a strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with equipment troubleshooting including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Knowledge of network troubleshooting tools such as DNS diagnostics, TCP/IP analysis, firewall configuration (including Meraki), VPN setup, and LAN/WAN management.
- Hands-on experience managing Active Directory accounts, GPOs, SCCM deployments, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to analyze issues efficiently using problem-solving skills to identify root causes quickly.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach that ensures clear guidance and support for end-users.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or similar are required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
