Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate medical documentation.
- Support medication administration under supervision, following strict aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Provide specialized care for patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient service.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and proper medical-surgical procedures.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient information accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification in good standing with the state licensing board.
- Prior experience working in home health preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
