- Morning Shift: 3 hours daily
- Evening Shift: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Monday–Sunday
Job Description
Serenity Care at Home is hiring a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide one-on-one care for a wheelchair-bound client in New Fairfield, CT. The ideal candidate is experienced with hands-on personal care and safe transfers and is committed to helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own home.
Responsibilities
- Assist with safe transfers between the wheelchair, bed, recliner, and bathroom using proper transfer techniques.
- Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal hygiene needs.
- Assist with morning and evening care routines.
- Support mobility and repositioning for comfort and safety.
- Prepare light meals and encourage hydration.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping related to the client’s care, including laundry, dishes, and tidying the living area.
- Change incontinence products as needed while maintaining the client’s dignity.
- Observe and report changes in the client’s condition to the office.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Complete required documentation accurately and follow the client’s care plan.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of professional PCA or caregiving experience.
- Experience assisting wheelchair-bound clients and providing safe transfers preferred.
- Ability to safely perform physical transfer assistance.
- Reliable transportation.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Dependable, compassionate, and professional.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must successfully pass all required background screenings.

Pay: $16.69 - $17.00 per hour
