Job Summary
Bridge Builders is seeking a skilled Staff Carpenter to complete home repairs, lead volunteer projects, and support renovation work in Milwaukee’s Old North Milwaukee and Thurston Woods neighborhoods. This role directly contributes to expanding affordable homeownership and developing future workforce training programs.
Responsibilities
- Drywall installation, finishing, and repair
- Framing and structural carpentry
- Window and door installation
- Flooring (LVP, laminate, hardwood)
- Tile installation (bath/kitchen)
- Lead and train volunteers on work sites
- Assist with full property renovations and home repair projects
- Ensure work meets safety and building code standards
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years residential carpentry experience
- Proficiency in drywall, framing, flooring, tile, and window/door installation
- Ability to lead volunteers with varying skill levels
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license required
- Commitment to community-focused work
