Vice President of Classroom Technology
Full-Time | Reports to Chief Revenue Officer
Position Summary
ChromebookParts is seeking an experienced, growth-oriented Vice President of Classroom Technology Sales to lead and expand our Device & Classroom Technology division. This is a hands-on, player-coach leadership role for an accomplished sales leader who can build and develop a high-performing team while personally generating and closing new business.
The VP will own the division's sales performance, gross margin, team development, and long-term growth strategy. This individual will lead, manage, and hold the sales team accountable while maintaining an active book of business and developing new relationships with K-12 school districts and education technology partners.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Leadership & Team Development
- Set and communicate a clear sales strategy, goals, and quarterly priorities for the Device & Classroom Technology division.
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales team, establishing clear expectations, quotas, and accountability for individual and team performance.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop sales and technical talent as the division grows.
- Conduct regular performance and development conversations and proactively address performance gaps.
- Lead effective weekly sales meetings and maintain key performance metrics, including pipeline development, quote volume, close rate, gross margin, and individual rep performance.
- Own division revenue, gross margin performance, and forecast accuracy, providing regular updates to company leadership.
- Collaborate closely with Operations and other internal teams to ensure inventory, fulfillment, and service capabilities support customer commitments and continued growth.
Business Development & Personal Production
- Personally prospect, develop, and close new school district accounts for devices and classroom technology solutions.
- Carry an individual sales quota in addition to responsibility for overall team performance.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with school district technology leaders, business officials, purchasing organizations, and other key industry stakeholders.
- Leverage established K-12 education technology relationships and industry knowledge to identify opportunities, expand market presence, and accelerate growth.
- Represent ChromebookParts at education technology conferences, industry events, and other relevant networking opportunities.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and forecast information within company CRM and business systems.
Measures of Success
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Achievement of division revenue and gross margin targets.
- Achievement of individual sales and gross margin goals.
- Development of a healthy, sustainable sales pipeline and strong performance across key metrics, including quote volume, close rate, and customer retention.
- Consistent quota attainment and professional development across the sales team.
- Accurate forecasting and disciplined CRM management.
- Successful recruitment, retention, and development of high-performing team members.
- Progress toward the division's long-term growth objectives.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive B2B sales experience with a demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding individual sales goals.
- 3+ years of sales leadership experience with direct accountability for team performance and results.
- Significant experience selling technology solutions, devices, hardware, or related services to K-12 school districts or other public-sector organizations strongly preferred.
- Established professional relationships within the K-12 education technology market, including school district technology leaders, purchasing organizations, industry partners, or other relevant stakeholders, strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of K-12 purchasing processes, including bids/RFPs, purchasing cooperatives, procurement requirements, and district budget cycles.
- Proven ability to develop new business and build long-term customer relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and hold sales professionals accountable for results.
- Strong understanding of pipeline management, forecasting, CRM discipline, and margin-based selling.
- Experience working within an EOS/Traction environment, including Rocks, Scorecards, and Level 10 meetings, preferred; willingness to learn and operate within EOS is required.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Compensation
$100,000+ base salary, depending on experience (D.O.E.), with on-target earnings (OTE) of approximately $250,000.
Compensation includes a base salary plus performance-based incentive compensation tied to individual and division results. Additional details regarding the compensation structure will be discussed during the interview process.
