Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and surface sanitation.
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and janitorial tools efficiently and safely.
- Handle laundry tasks as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms.
- Maintain proper use of cleaning detergents and chemicals while adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or equipment with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service.
- Conduct outdoor work when required, including trash removal or outdoor surface cleaning.
- Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods without compromising quality.
- Support housekeeping management by reporting supply needs or maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning roles such as janitorial or custodial work.
- Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning, and sanitation standards.
- Familiarity with various cleaning equipment and detergents used in professional environments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with endurance.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent time management abilities.
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients.
- Outdoor work experience is a plus for roles involving exterior surface maintenance or outdoor cleaning tasks.
- Prior housekeeping management or supervisory experience is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions for cleaning procedures and safety protocols effectively.
