Job Summary:
We are a growing HEXPOL company that supplies custom color concentrates and dry color to the plastics industry. We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our day shift team as we continue to grow. The ideal candidate will receive, count, store all items purchased and will also pack out, ship, label, and restore all finished goods sold.
Responsibilities:
- Unloading and verifying inbound shipments, count, movement, and storage of raw materials including weighing and identifying product by bar code
- Locating and pack out of outbound orders for shipment into specified customer packaging
- Transferring finished goods between the plant and the warehouse
- Maintaining housekeeping in the finished goods and dock areas
- Providing job coverage for the lead shipping and receiving associate as needed
- Perform daily tasks to include: pre-stage outbound orders as indicated on the outbound report, loading of outbound carriers, unloading of inbound carriers, weigh and label approved raws inventory, pack out customer orders from inventory, control storage of finished good and packaging, and maintaining housekeeping
- Ensuring packaging conditions meet company standards
- Transferring rejected and/or finished goods to production as needed
- Checking email regularly
- Performing any necessary training requirements
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- High School or GED Equivalent
- 3 plus years previous experience in shipping and receiving preferred
- Forklift/tow motor experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., be mobile and utilize stairs on a consistent basis and maneuver drums
Compensation:
- Starting rate of $18.00/hour subject to experience, skills, and education
