Responsibilities
- Support students in mastering coursework through one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions, focusing on core subjects such as math, science, language arts, and social studies
- Assist in developing and implementing curriculum tailored to individual student needs and learning styles
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instructional effectiveness and student engagement
- Plan and execute lesson plans that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning skills
- Manage classroom behavior to create a respectful, inclusive, and productive environment for all students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to monitor student progress and adjust tutoring strategies accordingly
- Provide support for students with special education needs or those requiring additional accommodations
Experience
- Prior experience in tutoring or teaching in classroom settings, including early childhood education or preschool experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum and lesson plans that meet diverse learner needs
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and working with children of various ages and backgrounds
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms and digital educational resources
- Experience working with students with special needs or in inclusive education environments is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
- Background in child development, childcare, or adult education is advantageous
