Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate POS systems such square to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing personalized recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and dining spaces, adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities by processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all food safety protocols are followed diligently.
- Support team members during busy periods by managing time effectively and multitasking between serving, cleaning, and order fulfillment.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or café experience is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours.
