Position Overview
Horseheads Mall is currently hiring a Part-Time New York State Licensed Security Guard to provide afternoon and evening security coverage. The successful candidate will help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff during peak operating hours.
Schedule
Part-Time
- Friday: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM (1600-0000)
- Saturday: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM (1600-0000)
- Sunday: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM (1600-0000)
Responsibilities
- Patrol interior and exterior areas of the mall.
- Provide a visible security presence and excellent customer service.
- Monitor activity in common areas, parking lots, and tenant spaces.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations.
- Enforce property rules and safety procedures.
- Investigate and document incidents through written reports.
- Coordinate with mall management and emergency services as needed.
Qualifications
- Current New York State Security Guard License (Required).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies.
- Experience in retail, commercial property, or public-facing security preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Dependable attendance and professional appearance.
