Duties
- Assist licensed physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and therapeutic exercises.
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all medical equipment is sanitized, organized, and ready for use.
- Support patients with mobility exercises, transfers, and gait training under supervision.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment activities in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Operate medical equipment such as ultrasound units, electrical stimulation devices, and orthotics interventions in occupational therapy.
- Monitor patient safety during therapy sessions and report any concerns or adverse reactions promptly.
- Help manage inventory of supplies including orthotics materials, therapy tools, and medical supplies needed for daily operations.
Skills
- Practicing in a physical therapy role with hands-on experience supporting patient care.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to rehabilitation therapies.
- Knowledge of exercise terms and wordings.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and educate patients about their therapies.
