General Motors Technician Mechanic
Napleton Downtown Chicago has immediate openings for Automotive Technician/Mechanics. Full-time positions are immediately available. This is a skilled position requiring a minimum of 3 years of previous General Motors experience. You should be experienced, aware of the latest automotive technologies, and a persistent problem solver.
Service Technician Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive Pay $48.00 - $52.00 per book hr

Service Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership procedures
- Test drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
- Provide estimates for additional repairs
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
- Complete all required training
Service Technician Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as an auto technician
- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
- Fast, eager learner and team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
