Maintenance Technician – Residential (Cleveland, OH)

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance tasks to ensure the physical condition, safety, and appearance of the property. This role plays a vital part in resident satisfaction through timely and professional service and supports the overall operations of the community by ensuring units and common areas are well-maintained, safe, and move-in ready.
Key Responsibilities

Respond to service requests promptly and professionally; diagnose and complete repairs efficiently

Complete unit turns, including painting, repairs, cleaning, appliance checks, and inspections

Perform routine maintenance of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances

Maintain cleanliness and safety of common areas, mechanical rooms, and grounds

Assist in snow removal, seasonal landscaping tasks, and exterior upkeep

Document completed work in property management software and follow up on open work orders

Participate in regular property inspections and identify safety or maintenance concerns

Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and Fair Housing standards

Provide outstanding customer service to residents and always maintain a professional demeanor

Participate in on-call emergency rotation for nights and weekends as scheduled
Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in apartment, facilities, or hospitality maintenance

HVAC Certification (Type I and II) preferred

Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, appliance, and carpentry repair

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions

Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance

Familiarity with maintenance software and smartphone-based communication

Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills

High school diploma or GED required
