About the Role
Wish Granted Plumbing is growing fast in the HOA and property management space across Orange County, and we need someone sharp to own our estimating pipeline and build face-to-face relationships with the property managers who trust us with their buildings.
This is a rare seat for someone with a project engineering or construction management background who wants real mentorship in pricing and estimating, paired with the opportunity to become the face of our company at HOA and property management offices.
What You'll Do
- Draft and complete estimates in ServiceTitan, including chasing down vendor equipment pricing
- Learn our labor-hour estimating approach directly from ownership — structured mentorship on pricing and scope, not something you're expected to already master
- Own the pipeline so nothing goes stale between bid and close
- Visit HOA and property management accounts to catch issues early and build lasting trust
- Attend networking events with full context on open estimates and pipeline status
Who You Are
- Background in project engineering, project coordination, or construction management (plumbing/trade exposure a plus, not required)
- Mid-to-late twenties, a few years into your career, hungry to grow into a senior estimating role
- Comfortable with numbers, scope, and systems — but just as comfortable in a room with a property manager
- Personable, professional, and able to represent the company well in person
- Organized enough to keep a pipeline of estimates moving without things falling through the cracks
Growth Path
This role is built to grow. Estimating and pricing judgment are the core skill you'll be building — the harder, more valuable skill, and the one that opens the door to a senior estimator position as you take on more of that responsibility independently. Relationship-building and account visits are a core part of the job from day one, but the growth track here is rooted in estimating.
Compensation
$56,000–$70,000 base salary, depending on experience. Salary-based position (no commission) to avoid any conflict of interest between estimating and business development.
Location
Fountain Valley, CA — based out of Wish Granted Plumbing's office, with regular travel to HOA and property management sites.
Pay: $56,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- 401(k) matching
- Health insurance
Application Question(s):
- This role starts focused on estimating and pricing, which is the harder skill to build, with account visits and relationship-building as a growing part of your responsibilities over time. Does that sequencing — estimating first, relationships second — sound like the right fit for you, or were you hoping for something weighted the other way?
- Have you used ServiceTitan or similar field service/CRM software before? (Not required, but useful to know.)
- Describe a time you had to track down a vendor or supplier for pricing on something — how did you follow up and keep it moving?
- Tell me about a time you were juggling multiple open projects or tasks at once. How did you keep track of what needed attention and make sure nothing slipped through the cracks?
- Have you worked in a role where you had to follow up persistently with people (clients, vendors, subs) to get information you needed? How do you approach that without being a pest?
- This role involves visiting property managers and HOA boards in person, sometimes to smooth over an issue. Tell me about a time you had to handle a difficult conversation with a client or customer face-to-face.
- Are you comfortable being the primary point of contact for a business relationship, not just a behind-the-scenes support role?
- Have you ever had to estimate labor hours or scope for a job before pricing it out? Walk me through an example.
- Where do you see yourself in 2-3 years — more on the technical/estimating side, or more on the client-facing side?
- Are you comfortable with a salary-based role (no commission), and does the $56k–$70k range work for where you're at?
- This is based in Fountain Valley with regular travel to sites around Orange County — do you have reliable transportation for that?
