Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients’ functional abilities and needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals and medical conditions
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to enhance independence
- Support discharge planning by coordinating care transitions and providing recommendations for ongoing therapy or support services
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, educators, and case managers to optimize patient outcomes
- Document clinical findings accurately using electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations
- Provide specialized interventions for populations including individuals with autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, geriatrics, pediatrics, and those in post-acute care settings
Experience
- Proven experience working as an occupational therapist in inpatient settings such as hospitals or skilled nursing facilities
- Demonstrated expertise in pediatric occupational therapy, early intervention programs, and school-based environments working with students with disabilities or special education needs
- Hands-on experience in outpatient clinics or home health services delivering physical rehabilitation occupational therapy programs
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and clinical documentation standards necessary for accurate case management
- Familiarity with implementing occupational therapy programs for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders and disabilities across various age groups
- Experience working within evidence-based practice frameworks to develop effective treatment plans and improve patient care outcomes
- Strong client communication skills combined with the ability to collaborate effectively within interprofessional teams across diverse healthcare settings
Pay: $80.00 - $110.00 per hour
