Job Title: Psychiatrist

Employment Type: Part-time
In this role as a Psychiatrist you will provide direct patient care, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and emergency services for individuals struggling with mental health and addiction issues, intellectual disabilities, or situational maladjustment. In addition, the Psychiatrist will participate in staff training and development activities, contribute to program evaluation and grant applications, and engage in public behavioral health education initiatives.

Examine, diagnose, and create treatment plans for patients with mental health and/or addiction medicine concerns, including emotional or mental illness, intellectual disabilities, or situational maladjustment.
Support management needs, such as data collection, program evaluation, grant applications, and maintenance of service contracts.
Collaborate, and provide support to assigned Nurse Practitioners, fellows, residents and students; act as backup for colleagues when needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas to patients, staff, and the public.
