Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of warehouse floors, aisles, and workspaces using appropriate floor care equipment such as buffers and sweepers.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break areas, and common spaces by performing janitorial tasks regularly.
- Assist with custodial duties including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and surface sanitation to uphold hygiene standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly.
- Support industrial cleaning tasks such as cleaning machinery, storage areas, or high-traffic zones to ensure a safe working environment.
- Use commercial cleaning supplies efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and environmental guidelines.
- Collaborate with facilities maintenance teams for repairs or specialized cleaning projects like floor buffing or deep cleans.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, custodial duties, or facilities maintenance is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, and sealing floors.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and bending frequently.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow safety procedures diligently.
- Prior porter or industrial cleaning experience is a plus; certifications in custodial or facilities maintenance are advantageous.
