Ability to safely perform the duties of the position

Excellent communication skills to interact with parents and student passengers

Work well with children
Requirements:

Must possess and maintain valid Michigan driver's license

Must successfully complete all necessary training to be a certified bus driver

Must meet and maintain WLPS and Michigan Department of Education competency levels of driving skills

Must meet federal DOT drug/alcohol testing requirements

Must meet necessary physical requirements

Must agree to a Michigan State Police and federal background check

Must be 18 or older and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Abbreviated Job Description (includes but not limited to):
Drive the the school bus and ensure a safe and orderly ride. May assist students with seating, assistive devices, safety and behavioral concerns. Communicate issues and relay information between families, students, and the transportation department.
Deadline: Until filled
Salary: $20.37 per hour/step 1 on the Transportation salary scale
