Most companies in the kitchen exhaust cleaning industry pay experienced techs the same low hourly rate as new techs, so we built our pay structure around one idea: skilled techs should be paid for their expertise.
Here is how it works:
- $200-$300 per completed job, paid per job, not per hour.
- 1 to 2 jobs per night on a typical schedule
- Work efficiently and your effective hourly rate is double or triple the industry standard
- Steady volume: we have the contracts, we need the techs
- No trainees on this posting. You show up knowing the work, we hand you jobs. You will need to perform 2 test jobs.
This posting is for experienced hood cleaners only. If you have never professionally cleaned a kitchen exhaust system, please do not apply to this listing.What you'll be doing
- Cleaning commercial kitchen exhaust systems and roofs with grease (hoods, filters, ductwork, exhaust fans, and rooftop containment) to NFPA 96 standard
- Running jobs start to finish: setup, degreasing, scraping, pressure washing, polishing, cleanup, and before/after photo documentation
- Completing service reports and applying certification stickers
- Representing our company professionally in front of restaurant managers and kitchen staff
Requirements (all of these, no exceptions)
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on kitchen exhaust / hood cleaning experience
- Working knowledge of NFPA 96 and what "cleaned to bare metal" actually means
- Able to run a full job independently without supervision
- Comfortable with night and overnight work (most jobs run after kitchens close)
- Comfortable with ladders, rooftop access, and pressure washing equipment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Able to pass a background check
- Ability to travel to another state if needed (we operate in 37)
Pay: $200.00 - $600.00 per day
