Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble cold dishes with attention to detail and presentation.
- Create a variety of pastry items including garnishes, desserts, and baked goods that compliment the menu.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques to ensure a safe dining experience.
- Support high-volume food production by efficiently managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Participate in kitchen clean-up duties, including sanitizing workstations and storing ingredients according to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Strong background in fine dining or restaurant environments with a focus on cold food preparation and pastry work.
- Demonstrated skills in food production techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food handling.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods including food service and catering.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices, sanitizing procedures, and high-volume production processes.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
- Prior experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry best practices is preferred.
