Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong background in the food industry. This role involves taking orders, serving food, handling cash transactions, and ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
- Prepare food items as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order entry and cash handling.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen tasks as required, demonstrating culinary skills when necessary.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards in the food industry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in serving, cashiering, or other roles within the food service sector is beneficial.
