Job Description:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. The LPN is responsible for administering medications, monitoring resident conditions, and ensuring quality care that promotes resident safety, comfort, and dignity.
PAY RATE: $35-$40
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
- Monitor residents’ conditions and report changes to RN or physician
- Perform routine nursing care, including wound care and treatments
- Accurately document care, medications, and observations
- Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs and Nursing Assistants
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and care planning
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Maintain infection control and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current, active LPN license in the state of employment
- Previous long-term care experience preferred but not required
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Active LPN license
- CPR certification (required or preferred per facility)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Ability to lift/move residents (50+ lbs with assistance)
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
- Long-term care / skilled nursing facility
- Exposure to infectious diseases, bodily fluids, and medical conditions
- May require weekends, holidays, and various shifts (days, nights, weekends)
