Join Yahoo's Production Engineering team to support our media production infrastructure. This role focuses on maintaining and optimizing the technical systems that power Yahoo's content delivery across millions of users worldwide.
- Monitor and maintain production systems for Yahoo's content delivery platform
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to video encoding, streaming, and content distribution
- Implement automation scripts to improve operational efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy new features and updates
- Perform system health checks and preventive maintenance
- Document technical processes and create runbooks
- Respond to production incidents and participate in on-call rotation
- Analyze system performance metrics and identify optimization opportunities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 1-3 years of experience in production operations or site reliability
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and alerting systems
