HR Coordinator Job Summary
The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support. This role assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives. The HR Coordinator acts as a key point of contact for employees and helps ensure smooth HR operations across the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate job postings and recruitment activities.
- Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates.
- Assist with candidate screening and background checks.
- Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs.
Employee Records & HR Administration
- Maintain accurate employee files and HR databases.
- Process employee status changes, promotions, and terminations.
- Update and track employee information in HR systems.
- Ensure confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information.
Benefits & Payroll Support
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and inquiries.
- Coordinate benefits administration and documentation.
- Support payroll processing by maintaining accurate employee data.
- Help resolve payroll-related questions and discrepancies.
Compliance & Policies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Support implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with audits and preparation of compliance reports.
- Maintain required HR documentation and records.
Employee Relations
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Support employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
- Assist in organizing company events, training sessions, and recognition programs.
- Provide administrative support for performance management processes.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, recruitment, or administrative support.
- Experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position.
- May require occasional support for after-hours recruiting events or employee programs.
- Salary Range: Based on experience, and qualifications.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
