American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least one year of acute-care MS/Tele experience and Epic proficiency.

Acute-care Med/Surg Telemetry unit setting
-
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
-
Weekend and rotating holiday shifts required
-
Required to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity within the organization as needed
-
Requires use of the Epic charting system
-
Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
Minimum of one year of acute-care MS/Tele RN experience required
-
Required experience with IV starts, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
-
Required skills in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias

Epic EMR experience required

Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable as second reference; coworker references not accepted

Provide telemetry monitoring and care for Med/Surg patients including dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required, and first-time travelers may be considered

Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate

Requested time off must be submitted with the contract and limited to 7 days or less

Former facility employees are eligible for consideration after being away from the facility for at least 6 months

Current employees of the health system are not eligible for this traveler position

Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly after signing the contract to avoid assignment delays
