POSITION PURPOSE
The Branch Manager is accountable for the daily operations, achieving member services and lending goals, and growth of the branch while delivering exceptional member service and employee engagement. This role is responsible for coaching and developing staff, driving profitability, and supports the credit union’s strategic goals through effective leadership, operational excellence, and compliance with all policies and regulatory requirements.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee their branch to achieve lending growth, membership growth, and member service satisfaction.

Coach, develop, and hold team members accountable for performance, service excellence, sales goals, operational accuracy, and professional growth.

Assist with employee interviews, training, scheduling, and evaluating branch staff as needed.

Monitor branch performance metrics, including loan performance, new accounts, and product and services activity.

Promote a solution orientated approach and relationship building culture that supports cross selling, member retention, and business growth.
- Open new accounts, refer products and services, originate loan applications, review credit reports to identify additional lending opportunities, provide lending recommendations, and complete loan documentation and closing.

Support members and staff with account inquiries, transaction research, and the resolution of complex account issues, concerns, and complaints.

Communicate branch performance, trends, and concerns to management and recommend solutions as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and ensure staff are trained in operational, security, and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent
Required Knowledge: Knowledge in a financial industry, related account products, and sales focus environment
Knowledge of Credit Union regulations, policies, and procedures
Ability to lead, manage, and motivate their team
Experience Preferred/Required: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial institution with lending (preferred)
A minimum of 2 years’ management experience (preferred)

occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.) Must be able to exert up to 25 lbs. of force
