Budtender
Job Summary:
The Budtender provides superior customer service and educational guidance to all customers in a fast-paced dispensary setting. The Budtender records sales in the POS system, and handles cash and cashless ATM transactions. The Budtender must maintain an organized environment and ensure compliance in the sale of a regulated product. Reports directly to the Retail Manager / Retail Assistant Manager. Operates with direct supervision from General Manager, Retail Manager, Inventory Manager, and Assistants. A prime candidate shows interest in the development of new concepts, and shows interest in learning and growth. Hours available from 7AM- 1AM every day
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they enter the dispensary.
- Assist in start of day and end of day procedures, stock products and supplies, arrange displays, open and close register, etc.
- Budtender will be responsible for their own cash drawer throughout their shift.
- Communicate with Retail Manager and Retail Assistant Manager to maintain customer traffic flow, minimize wait times, and maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain organization of dispensary room through daily upkeep and light cleaning.
- Maintain cleanliness of Budtender Station and Retail Floor at all times. You are required to clean up after the end of your shift.
- Double check order that was fulfilled by fulfillment
- Ensure that payment is counted accurately.
- Perform daily cash drops while ensuring your till is accurate throughout your shift.
- Weighing and packaging products as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of all products and services provided, as well as applicable state and local laws.
- Educate customers on options and methods, strain information, effectiveness for specific ailments and cultivation methods. Provide educational materials and resources for customers as needed.
- Maintain awareness of customer input and suggest changes to improve service or product.
- Ensure accurate information is recorded for all customer registration, sales and preferences.
- Fulfillment to communicate inventory levels with front of house.
- Coordinate with the Retail Manager / Retail Assistant Manager as needed.
- Maintain a continuous state of alertness to ensure the highest standards of safety for fellow employees, products, and the facility.
- Stay informed and knowledgeable about state and local laws, and industry news.
- Follow-up with customers about specific product or service requests.
- Assist management in product inventory and/or adjustments.
- Participate in discussions and provide suggestions for improving product availability, customer satisfaction and/or policies and procedures.
- Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
- 2+ years retail and/or customer service experience required
- Cannabis experience preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must have the ability to pass a background check.
- Experience in a sales environment preferred.
- Accurate data-entry and record keeping.
- Ability to answer multi-phone line system.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and time management abilities.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
- Proficiency in windows-based software, Point-of-Sale software and Internet navigation.
- Ability to make decisions as necessary with oversight when needed.
- Regulations and Inventory experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Stand for up to six (6) hours at a time
- Walk frequently
- Reach and twist/turn with hands and arms
- Climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus

- MUST HAVE WEEKEND AND EVENING AVAILABILITY - Any shift Saturday, Any shift Sunday availability
- Evening shift (Close at 1 AM)
- Morning shift (6 AM Start)
- Located in Attleboro, MA 02703: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work
