Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic technique to uphold infection control standards.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring accurate imaging while adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage patient records using EMR ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing patient questions or concerns.
- Support administrative tasks including dental reception duties, scheduling appointments, and managing medical documentation.
- Assist with medical imaging and record-keeping for comprehensive medical and dental documentation.
Qualifications
- Valid RDA certification, again, not required.
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting procedures and infection control protocols
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including vital signs measurement and medical imaging (X-ray).
- Familiarity with advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners is a plus as well as running a Serec crown mill.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment practicing aseptic technique while maintaining high standards of patient safety.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
