Miller’s Textile Services is looking for a dependable and motivated Utility (Production Lead) to support our production team. This is a working lead position, meaning you will perform production duties while helping guide workflow and ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This is a 3rd shift position working Monday to Thursday, 6:30 pm to 5:00 am. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is interested in developing leadership skills.
What will you do at work?
- Monitor and direct the flow of materials into and out of your designated production area
- Perform production work while assisting with team coordination
- Ensure employees follow company policies, safety rules, and procedures
- Conduct quality checks to ensure production standards are maintained
- Help assign employees to jobs to meet daily production needs
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues
- Help ensure orders are completed accurately and shipped on time
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Step in to assist the Production Supervisor when needed
What are the minimum qualifications?
- Prior experience in manufacturing environment
- Prior experience as a team lead or production lead preferred
- Desire to learn and take on leadership responsibilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to use good judgment and make decisions independently
- Excellent attendance and reliability
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work full-time and overtime when needed
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, pushing/pulling carts, lifting products repeatedly, and performing general production tasks.
