Overview
We are seeking new team members to join our dynamic warehouse team. This vital role involves operating specialized reach trucks to efficiently handle materials, manage inventory, and support warehouse distribution activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in heavy equipment operation, adherence to safety standards, and a strong understanding of warehouse management systems. Duties
- All Shifts Available, sit down forklift/sorter operator, Stand up tow motor and reach truck driver
- Safely operate Raymond reach trucks and other material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance.
- Execute order picking tasks accurately using barcode scanning technology and manual methods, ensuring correct items are selected for shipping or inventory replenishment.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to OSHA and company safety protocols for heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Manage inventory levels by updating warehouse management systems (WMS), conducting cycle counts, and assisting with inventory reconciliation.
- Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing goods for dispatch, verifying shipment accuracy, and maintaining detailed records.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow, improve safety standards in production, and enhance overall warehouse operations.
Skills
- Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklifts (including lift truck and Hi-Lo), clamp trucks, and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and materials handling procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshoot operational issues.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, forklift safety protocols, and heavy equipment operation standards.
- Competence in manual handling techniques, heavy lifting, and safe load management practices.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and data entry accuracy.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members across shipping & receiving, inventory control, and warehouse management functions.
