Job Summary

Duties
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development
- Lead classroom management efforts to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children from toddlers to preschoolers
- Develop curriculum tailored to individual child needs, including special education and early intervention strategies
- Communicate regularly with parents about child progress, behavior management plans, and developmental milestones
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards
- Incorporate childhood development best practices into daily instruction and activities
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and standardized testing results
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as daycare or preschool environments
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management, behavior management, and child development instruction
- Experience with special education needs and early intervention programs is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration
- Certification in first aid and CPR required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies
- Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and holistic child growth
- Prior classroom experience with preschool or toddler care preferred; experience teaching physical education or tutoring is a plus
