At Harmony at Avon, our caregivers are the heart of our community. Whether you're a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA), you'll play a vital role in helping our residents live with dignity, independence, and purpose.
We're currently hiring Full-Time and Part-Time CNAs and QMAs for all shifts. If you're passionate about caring for seniors and want to work alongside a supportive team, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Encourage residents to maintain their independence while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and assist during emergencies.
- Support resident engagement by encouraging participation in activities and social events.
- Assist with meals, hydration, and evening or morning routines as needed.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Qualified Medication Aides (QMAs) Will Also
- Administer medications safely in accordance with state regulations and company policies.
- Document medication administration accurately using the electronic medication record (eMAR).
- Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and report concerns to the nursing team.
- Maintain medication carts and complete required medication audits.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, pharmacies, residents, and families regarding medication needs.
- Maintain all required certifications and medication competencies.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (for CNA applicants).
- Current Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) certification (for QMA applicants).
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain after hire.
- Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to assist residents with mobility and transfers while following safe body mechanics.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as part of a rotating schedule.
