Do you enjoy the beauty and amenities our City Parks have to offer? Now you can spend time in those parks working outside and being part of a dynamic and fun team! We are seeking seasonal maintenance employees to assist our park maintenance staff. On the job training will be provided to assist you in obtaining the necessary skills. Shift will be , Monday through Friday, 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm and occasional weekends if needed.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
With Training this position shall assist Maintenance Staff with: Mowing, string trimming, and blowing grass clippings off sidewalks and parking lotsMaintaining athletic fieldsOpening and closing park restroom facilitiesEmptying garbage cans and pickup up litterDaily preparation of Bay Beach Amusement ParkPerforming daily routine maintenance on equipmentPerforming other duties as assigned
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Skill and ability in safely operating vehicles and equipmentAbility to work effectively as part of a team and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to work the required hours of the position. Lifting and carrying up to 30 poundsFrequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, squatting, crouching and kneelingOccasional sitting, climbing pushing and pullingAbility to work in varied environmental conditions
