Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PE/Bible Teacher for Grades 6-8 to inspire and nurture students through engaging physical education and spiritual development. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curricula that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical fitness while integrating biblical principles.
- Lead engaging PE classes that accommodate diverse learning styles and adapt activities for students with special education needs.
- Teach Bible lessons that deepen students' understanding of scripture, fostering spiritual growth.
- Design lesson plans aligned with educational standards, incorporating innovative learning technology and instructional modifications as needed.
- Manage classroom responsibilities effectively, including behavior management, classroom organization, and assessment of student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school events, and extracurricular activities related to health, wellness, and faith.
- Communicate regularly with parents through conferences and updates to support student success and holistic development.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching physical education at middle or high school levels, including sports coaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development, classroom management techniques, and educational compliance regulations.
- Familiarity with curriculum implementation, standardized testing preparation, and instructional modifications for diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher interactions and public speaking engagements.
- Demonstrated skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, educational technology integration, and literacy education.
- Background in Bible teaching or religious studies combined with a passion for mentoring students in their spiritual journey.
- Must be an active member of a local like-faith church.
- Must pass a level II background screening
