Barista needed for small coffee shop.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with attention to quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with precision and integrity
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and throughout the café environment
- Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, and serving food items according to safety guidelines
- Manage time effectively to ensure quick service during busy periods while maintaining accuracy in sales and cash handling
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a positive, energetic attitude
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales transactions
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and proper serving techniques
- Experience in food service or retail environments is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the café area, and lift moderate loads as needed

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
