We are looking for an Assistant Teacher — Level 2 who enjoys working with young children, values teamwork, and would be encouraged by serving in a like-minded Christian environment. This position is ideal for someone who already has some child care experience and is growing toward becoming a future Lead Teacher.
About the Role
The Assistant Teacher — Level 2 works closely with the Lead Teacher to support the educational, developmental, emotional, and daily care needs of the children in the classroom.
This role is more than “helping out.” A Level 2 Assistant Teacher is someone who is growing in classroom confidence, learning to carry more responsibility, and developing the skills needed to one day lead a classroom.
What You’ll Do
You will help the Lead Teacher create a classroom that is safe, loving, organized, and engaging for children.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Lead Teacher with daily curriculum and classroom activities
- Helping maintain a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
- Guiding children through daily routines, play, meals, naps, and transitions
- Building warm, positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
- Communicating clearly and respectfully with parents, coworkers, and leadership
- Updating the Procare app with children’s daily activities, meals/feedings, diaper changes/restroom breaks, and pictures
- Using nap time productively to clean, organize, update Procare, and help prepare classroom activities
- Supporting a classroom culture that reflects patience, kindness, respect, and Christian love

Required Qualifications
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with children, families, staff, and leadership
- Willingness to learn more about child development and classroom best practices
- Must clear a full background check
- Must receive a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card before starting employment
- Must receive a negative TB test before starting employment
Preferred Experience
- At least 3 months of experience working with children preferred
