Job Overview
We are urgently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Caregiver to join our team immediately. In this vital role, you will provide essential personal care and support to seniors, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact while working in a supportive, community-focused environment.
Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Personal care including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Medication reminders
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Observe and report changes in clients' conditions
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required
- Proven experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities, and those requiring hospice or dementia care
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic life support (CPR/First Aid) certifications preferred
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and home health care regulations is highly desirable
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform patient transfers using appropriate methods such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts
- Excellent communication skills with a caring attitude towards clients’ needs
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare agencies is advantageous
