Overview
We are seeking energetic and dedicated Summer Camp Coaches to join our team and create a fun, engaging, safe environment for children during summer programs. As a Summer Camp Coach, you will lead activities, foster positive behavior, and support children’s development through dynamic and interactive experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience working with children.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate a variety of camp activities including sports and educational games that promote childhood development and teamwork
- Manage group dynamics through effective classroom management and behavior guidance strategies
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by implementing proper child care protocols and first aid procedures
- Foster a positive environment by encouraging social skills, confidence, and creativity among campers
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns
- Maintain organized activity areas and ensure all equipment is used safely and appropriately
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare preferred
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and childhood development principles
- Certification in first aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain prior to start date
- Strong skills in teaching and sports coaching are highly valued
- Ability to work and engage actively with children in various physical activities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect positively with kids of diverse backgrounds
- Passion for working with children and supporting their growth in a fun, energetic environment
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
