Line Cook — Salt Island Fish & Beer
Salt Island Fish & Beer is looking for a Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We're a coastal seafood and beer spot on Tybee Island serving fresh, approachable food in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prep and cook menu items to spec, maintaining consistency and quality during busy service
- Work efficiently across stations (fryer, grill, saute, etc.) as needed
- Follow recipes, portioning, and plating standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in compliance with health codes
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house staff during service
- Restock and prep stations before and after shifts
- Assist with inventory and receiving as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior line cook or kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and food safety practices
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Team-oriented attitude
Schedule: Full-time and part-time positions available; seasonal flexibility a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

- Restaurant experience: 1 year (Required)
